Ephesians 6:10-18 “The struggle”

After decades of including Ephesians 6:10-18 as part of my daily quiet time, or time of prayer or being quiet before God…..I noticed something kind of profound for me.

But before I get there a reminder: our struggle as Christians is not a flesh and blood struggle, it is a struggle against: “rulers” (local authorities), against “powers” those with power and influence beyond just local authority, against “world forces” which revel in oppression, enslavement, promoting vices which lead to personal destruction and the removal of personal liberty and freedom of conscience and action. In other words wickedness in the “Heavenly Places” in other words a general sense and observation something bad is going on across the world but it is not something you can identify specifically or who is doing it.

Now here is my revelation; the armor of God is two groups of three: 1. Truth, Righteousness, and the Good News of Peace. 2.Faith, Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

The first three are already accomplished by God! The actual quote is: “HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH” IT IS AN ALREADY DONE DEAL! WHEN YOU AND I BECAME CHRISTIANS HE SEALED US IN TRUTH, IT IS INSIDE US THAT IS THE REASON WE SEE DIFFERENTLY THAN THOSE WHO ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. WE LIVE IN OBJECTIVE REALITY OR TRUTH AND THEY LIVE IS SUBJECT FICTION.

The second and third are also already accomplished by God: “HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS” AND “HAVING SHOD YOU FEET WITH PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE”. BOTH OF THESE ARE COMPLETED BY GOD ARE AT POINT WE SURRENDER TO GOD THROUGH JESUS. WE HAVE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND WE HAVE HIS PEACE AS PERSONAL POSSESSIONS IT IS FINISHED. WE HAVE BEEN A RENEWED NATURE BY WHICH WE CAN WITHOUT INTERNAL STRUGGLE LIVE IN TRUTH, IN KNOWING/DOING THE RIGHT THING AND STANDING AND WALKING AS PART OF OUR VERY EXISTENCE WONDERFUL NEWS OF THE PEACE OF GOD.

The next three parts of the armor of God are things we still must do as a part of our lives. These three aspects require that we intentionally apply ourselves thoughtfully and in our words and deeds: 1. WE HAVE TO TAKE ACTION TO STAND IN FAITH (THAT IS TO LIVE IN CONFIDENCE WITH COURAGE IN JESUS) “TAKING UP THE SHIELD OF FAITH” 2. “TAKE THE HELMET OF SALVATION” WE MUST INTENTIONALLY ACCEPT OTHERS AND OURSELVES AS GOD DOES, WITHOUT CONDITION BUT WITH A DESIRE FOR THIER BEST 3. “TAKE THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD” WE MUST TAKE ACTION IN OUR DAILY LIVES TO KNOW AND SPEAK AND APPLY THE WORD OF GOD.

Living in truth and reality is such a kick. Keep praying at times we as believers  will persevere.

The week of April 20 (I think) a study posted online by Stanford University epidemiologists, who pegged the fatality rate at between 0.1% and 0.2%. An affiliated team from the University of Southern California (USC) a couple of weeks ago reported a similar fatality rate in Los Angeles. 
The original estimate of deaths by covid19 was set at over 2.2 million (even with social distancing and mask) just in the United States. This computer model was created by the same folks who gave us the main data based on computer models about global warming.. Those world leadership took it to heart.  
So all the social distancing and masks and shutting down the economy was done , not to save lives!!!!! but to flatten the curve! so hospitals could handle the massive number of folks who would need the ICU beds! 
Now months later, all estimates on how bad this would be (except for isolated pockets of nursing homes mainly) have been remarkably wrong. Now those in power are treating this as if every human is at exactly the same risk, simply demonstrable not true.  

The foolishness damage to the economy is likely (according to many mental health experts) to result in the suicide rates to match or exceed the covid19 deaths. The estimated annual suicides at the height of the Great Depression was: between 67,000 and 71,000 with a much smaller population.
To my research there is no empirical evidence which demonstrates mask and social distancing has reduce the infection rates. There is anecdotal evidence.
But there are many communities across America where no mask and little social distancing has happened and there is remarkably little infection.
People need to be thoughtful and careful, no doubt, I hear this is terrible to get but that being said evidence is if your are not over 75 nor have a preexisting condition, your chance of dying from this is infinitesimal.
The younger folks are in far more damage from depression!

Covid 19 Crisis in California

Is not what you think…..

Let me give you some stats:

  1. California has 74,624 hospital beds according to the American Hospital Directory
  2. California has 11,578 ICU beds according to  California Department of Health
  3. Today there are 1,076 covid19 patients total in ICU units across California according to calmatters.org (the official calif. tracking site.)
  4. There are 78,839 in California who have the virus and do not need hospitalization according to LA Times
  5. California’s populations is: 39,500,000. (US Census)

So let’s do the math………

  1. 9.2% of the ICU beds in California are in need for covid19! (less than one out of ten)
  2. 1.4% of all Hospital beds are being used for these serious covid19 patients.
  3. .19% of Californians have the virus (less than 2 tenths of one percent

Now for some comments…………

If you do the numbers on a National basis you will find the covid19 impact is far less than in California.

Hospitals in California have been laying of staff…..doctors and nursing staff as well as admin.

I have it from multiple sources that for several weeks now deaths which are being contributed to covid19 are not deaths cause by the virus. But for some reason are being reported by the hospitals as if they were.

Even the Doctors in Bakersfield who brought attention to this have since been taken off Utube” and have basically been silenced.

Deaths cause by Flu and related issues and dropped significantly (below normally report numbers) since covid19 deaths have increased.

My only conclusion is the fear of this virus is massively out of proportion. The leadership  is either completely incompetent or there is a different agenda behind shutting down America’s and the World’s economies.

We in America have been thoughtful to follow safety protocols. But now there has been enough time and attention to no longer blindly follow needlessly.  There are those intentionally violating our basic rights as American as listed in the Bill of Rights which the government is suppose to protect above all things.

To follow blindly is to only encourage those who would and will take power at all cost and this absurd mask and social distancing is no more needful than doing what your mother told you to do as a child; ie wash your hands, cover your coughs and be thoughtful of others, if your felling sick, stay home you have 99% chance of getting over it if it is covid19!!!!!!

Get a grip don’t be sheepeople !!!!!

The Church

I have always thought it a good idea for the Christian community to support local businesses and community endeavors. After all we are part of our community.
Yet a sickness, or a Pandemic does not override the truth of God. It is true if we gather together as a congregation a virus may spread.
But it is also truth it may not. Who knows?
All we can do is to personally gather the best data available and after prayer make the wisest choice.
Yet, it is not business as usual. Perhaps the Church can stand in the gap to encourage: the way of life and truth. Speak truth to all with Boldness, gentleness and kindness.
I am thinking it is far more important for the church to provide emotional support for those families and individuals who for the first time in their lives are facing a life and death crisis. Because of the societal close down depression and fear is hovering over a lot of families. The Church is built, was made for, these times.
But am I thinking the church hungers for those in leadership to take a stand. Be wise and thoughtful for peoples health while at the same time not allowing any human institution to dictate to the Church of the Living God! Regardless of the cost.
For most of time and history human life has been defined by pain, loss and suffering. Yet in the midst of perhaps the worst time in human history God though Jesus broke through reality with a simple message of truth, Love and kindness over selfishness and control of the strong over the weak.
And now in America we, the Church of the Creator of all that is the only true God, who have surrendered and pledged our lives and fortunes to His control are willing to give all. Yet we need to be encouraged by the example of our leaders to stand in Christ above human institutions and governments.
We, as those called out by the Creator, need to gather as individuals joined by God’s Holy Spirit to form His Bride.
I hunger for the gathering of His Body the Church. Watching moving pictures of those caught in a 20th century expression is not people gathering together as a reflection or His truth.
 Now is the time to stand! No longer  surrendering to man’s authority. Stand as one accountably to a higher authority.
The Church needs to be who we are, the called out ones! Called out from everyone else.  If we die because of a stupid virus, so be it. Our life in Christ is beyond this temporary existence!

Covid 19 just an excuse

What is the objective standard by which the Federal Government uses to establish a national emergence and revoke the bill of rights and the rights granted by the constitution? If a disease which kills 50,000 or even 100,000 people a year is the standard, then we will never be free again.

Heart disease kills about 647,000 a year!!! It is an attack of an invisible enemy!!!!!

61,000 flu deaths in 2015 is that a crisis?

48,344 suicide deaths in 2018 is that a crisis?

169,000 accidental deaths in 2017 was that a crisis?

Is there an objective standard? If not, it is the whim or best guess of an expert who is as often as not wrong! To cause vast damage to an economy and the rule of law (constitution) is inexcusable and safeguards need to be put in place to prevent this from happening again!!

Covid19 in perspective

There are about 1,000,000 people who are known to have the virus. Last I read there were about 75,000 deaths. It is sad and disturbing whenever anyone dies much less from a totally new virus.

But that being said: the numbers say you have a 92.5% of getting better if you get sick with this thing! The number also seems to indicate it is only a serious threat to a very small portion of our general population; the elderly and those with preexisting conditions.

It seems to me this was started by a computer model (same folks who model global climate change). Folks in leadership are so used now to believing that a computer model can predict the future they have lost all perspective.

Reality based science and past practices in how to handle an outbreak were discarded in preference to massive government control in complete violation of our constitution and bill of rights!

And we the Sheepeople, quietly have followed because our lives are so comfortable we do not want to upset the apple cart in fear we will lose our traditional way of life……..

Sorry folks…..it is already gone….question is can we get it back??? It will not be given back…..The powerful never (or rarely) reduce their power willingly….

Time to stand or surrender.
